Back Home
Hey everybody! I've been back home for a few days, just relaxing and enjoying the nice weather. Lots of naps on the hammock and trying to be outside. Bella was pretty excited when I got home as usual :) I don't know my next appt. w/ the doc as of now but I'm guessing we'll start that chemo in a few weeks when I'm fully healthy again. So for now just some nice R & R. lots of love

Hi Sam,
Boy, you couldn't have asked for any better weather for your hammock swingings and naps....just the ticket for a little R&R.
Head back to Ohio tomorrow, but, as always, will keep in touch.
Love you. Amy
Hey Samster,
The anchor has gone back to Ohio to take care of business there. You will understand what I mean by "anchor" later on when you have a significant other that has been around for a LONG time.
Take it easy, take in some of this Great fresh air and sunshine.
Maybe I'll come visit for lunch next week.
Uncle Mikey
Sammy,
Your Uncle Mikey is such a knucklehead....he actually enjoys my "loving suggestions of things that he can do in his spare time".
Anyhow...hope you are getting some sunshine and much desired relaxation.
Love and kisses.
The Anchor
Hey girlie! Keep up your hard work. You and your family are continuously in my prayers! I'm glad you're at home to relax for a few days with this nice weather. Enjoy it! Talk to you soon!
Lots of love, Sheehan
Sammy,
You do not know me but my name is Marcjana Turns and my 8 year old daughter HAD pancreatoblastoma that was diagnosed last July. I am happy to tell you that she had a transplant operation at the University of Miami's Holtz Children's Hospital and has been CURED of her pancreatoblastoma (hopefully forever) Caroline received 10 rounds of chemo but we knew she had to have surgery for cure. We were schdeuled to have surgery last February in Memphis at St. Jude ( where she was treated) and then her surgeon shared her case with several colleagues around the country. Dr. Andreas Tzakis the BEST transplant surgeon in the world recommended a transplant. He has performed numerous transplants on cancer patients where there was not a cure. On June 6th Caroline had a 5 organ transplant to remove all of the pancreatoblastoma (which had spread to her liver and was all around her portal vein.) She received a new pancreas, liver, small intestine, large intestine, and part of the stomach. I know this sounds major but she is doing remarkably well and this institution does about 250 life saving transplants a year. She will have to take immunosupressant medications the rest of her life but it was such a miracle for her to have this medical opportunity. Your case sounds very similar to Caroline's and I just wanted to make you aware of this information. If you, your parents, or MD's would like to contact us with any questions that would be no problem. We can also put you in touch with Dr. Tzakis and his team. Caroline is getting out of the hospital this Friday June 29th. Our family will be living in the Miami area while she recovers over the nest few months. I hope you do not think I am crazy to contact you but I feel for you and your family. This is such a rare cancer with so little data etc....You seem like a lovely young woman who deserves to live a wonderful life. You also sound like a fighter like my Caroline. You are both angels to battle this awful disease which requires so much intense treatment. Caroline had cisplatin and all the intense chemo like you and it can be brutal. My daughter has a care page at www.carepages.com the page name is CHTSTJUDE and you can read it to see this is legit. God bless you and your family and please find our contact info below:
