My sometimes silly, sometimes scary but always true story of my battle through Pancreatoblastoma. My stories are here for both your sake and mine. You can keep yourself up to date, and I don't have to repeat the story a few too many times a day. Even though its only an online blog, it's given me feelings of hope and courage to keep on in my 'battle,' because of all the love, care and support I get from everyone else. So keep reading, and feel free to share your thoughts with a comment!

Sam,
You tend to think about what those who love you do for you...like what you mentioned about your favorite nurse...let me tell you something special...you do not know what you do for those of us who care about you and watch and read your blogs...you inspire all of us...your courage, your humor, your sensitivity, your willingness to share...I laugh, I cry, evertime I read your blogs...again, you do so much for us... you have taught us all so much and and the inspiration you provide us is incredible...
Continuing to pray for you every day and thinking about you evey day...

Sammy,
Sorry to hear that the last round made you feel so yucky...but glad to hear that you are going home today. You know, when I was going through all that stuff..each day Michael would sit me down and say "don't think about how awful it is, but, instead, a step closer to recovery". It worked!
Now, on the lighter side, a MUST read for you..."Marley & Me"....it will make you laugh out loud and truly appreciate the puppy antics of your little Bella even more than ever.
Love you.
hey sam its jim deschamps

Hey Sam -
You don't know me but I used to work with your dad a few years ago at good ole HPPD. My good buddy William Tellone called to tell me about the benefit & I wouldn't miss it for the world. I've always thought your mom, dad, & the family in general were good people!
I also wanted to take a second to tell you that your blog is an inspiration to us all! I don't think that I've EVER met a 19 year old with the courage, tenacity, and humor that you seem to have. Keep up the fight!!

I am sorry it has taken me so long to comment. I am sooooo happy that the chemo is working, and Bella is the best medicine, believe me! I have been planning to come over for the last month but check your blog regularly and saw that you may not be feeling well so I thought it best to stay away. And then of course I have been sick and can't come around you with that! I am doing fine now so if you are up to it any day, let me know when you feel up for company, I would love to see you and of course need to meet Bella!
Love you lots
Meghan
Hi Sammy-I am glad that you are coming home today! It will probably feel good to see Bella and your family. I got your blog info from Kathy Walstrom and have read all your entries. You keep up that good spirit, girl! It will take you far! I think about you a lot and pray for you, too. Sue Lindsley
sam,
I just today caught up with the last few weeks of your blog, and let me say: Sam your by far one of the biggest inspirations in my life. I think about you alot and hope that everything goes well. As for you not being at NIU... To say the least we all miss you! Whenever your available or have some free time let me know because grant south 5th floor wants to see you,and there will be acoustic guitars, meal plan, and no leonard. In all reality though we all love you and are praying for the best.
Love,
Bill
Sam,
My brother in law works at the HP Police Dept and gave me the flyer for your fundraiser. I went on to read your blog. You are a amazing young lady. AMAZING!!!
I think about the all the stupid things I complain about that interfere with my daily routine and then I read what you have to deal with day after day. And you take it all with such a positive attitude. Again, AMAZING. You have taught everyone who reads your blog so much about life.
I will pray for you every day.
