So tomorrow morning at 8 am....back to the OR. This time at least 1 of the reasons I'm going is normal and on the right path. That part would be the opening of my ostomies. I will still have to bags on both sides, but this time #1. they will both drain, #2. they wont drain as much because #3 part of the food that passes will continue down ..down...you get it. It took me a long time to figure this out; I actually only totally understood today when my doc drew a picture for me, so I tried to draw one for you...sorry about the handwriting, I had to write backwards so that when I took the picture on my computer it would be forwards. If you click on the picture it'll get bigger. Also the reason I'm here is b/c of the infection (thus the fever) and its coming from my line. So they're going to take one last look at my blood cultures tonight and tomorrow early to see if they need to take my line out or not. So thats the plan, I shouldn't have to go to ICU just recovery room for a bit then back up here. Oh yay

We miss you so much up here in Chicago. Its just not the same without you. First of all, your dog is OOC! But we love Bella VERY much and she gets lots of attention from Carisa, Tony and Alex. Anyway, we are all saying you must be SO ready to be done with this already! It just seems endless and we can't imagine what you go through! Hopefully you can feel all the love and prayers we are sending your way each and every day. We'll all be coming down to see you soon. I can bring your guitar and Ren and Stimpy Toss Across on the airplane when I come if you want it! JK ( o :

Hi Sammy,
I just caught up reading your blog. Your mom has kept me posted too. So that little doggy of yours...hmmm......I was at your house last week just as Alex had to leave and she was trying to get Bella in the house. Bella kept running away just as Alex got close to her. When Alex finally got hold of her collar, Bella jerked her head out of it!!! What a little stinker! So Alex asked me if I could put her in the house before I left (if I could catch her). I was doing clean up after some plumbing repairs, walking around from my truck in the driveway to the back door, all the while Bella is running up almost next to me, then scooting away. I wasn't sure what I was going to do since she had no collar and wasn't in the mood to listen to me when I told her to "come on in girl!" I finally gave up and walked over to the back door to lock it and she walked right over to me and into the house. Bella has quite the personality! I'll keep you posted if she acts up again!
