We just spoke with Dr. Tzakis, the main surgeon. He said all visible signs of cancer have been removed. Sam is now cancer free! He also said the organs were perfect.
Our thoughts and prayers continue to be with the donors family.

Sami, It has been many years since I have seen you. I worked at the Daley Center with your Aunt Lara and Grandpa,Judge Carl. Your grandma was a frequent visitor as well. I can tell by reading your blog that you possess the admirable grace and courage that are such distinct Cipolla traits. Your mom must also be a source of great comfort and courage. Please know that the mom's prayer group at St. John Fisher parish (Beverly) are praying for you. We wish you a full and quick recovery. Know that your supporters go way beyond anything that you could imagine!

Our son Luke and Tony were on the same baseball team this summer and our son Jake said he got a bracelet with 1tuffcookie on it. And you are certainly living up to that name.
