Hi everyone, I thought would do a quick little update for Sam. The last two weeks Sam went thought numerous testing procedures at the University of Chicago Hospitals and then a lot more at the University of Miami Hospitals. Then at the request of our insurance carrier ‘Cigna” they wanted a few more ultra sounds, CT scans and a PET Scan. The good news is that Sam passed all of their test. No new problems or metastases were found anywhere. Sam was then released from the hospital after they were able to get her off a lot of her pain med’s. We are now renting in suburban Miami, while waiting again, for approval from Cigna. Once they approve it, Sam will go (right to the top) on the Donors waiting list. We hope to have the organs/graft before Sam needs chemo again. She can probably go a week or two before pain gets to bad. So hopefully it will happen soon. We miss everyone back home, including XRT, the Cubs, da Bears and the Hawks. At least once the playoffs begin we will be able to follow the Cubs on TV. Haven’t heard anything about the Sox’s from down here what’s up with them?
Thank you to all of you who are checking, feeding and taking care of our other kids and house. As you all know we couldn’t be doing all this for Sam without all of you. Lots of Love ,Chris

Hi Cipolla family. I just read your last post. Im so glad to hear that all the testing went well. I will be in the Miami area visiting my cousins before heading back up to Chicago tomorrow. I hope you are enjoying South Florida life. Minus the terrential rainstorms. Everyone in Comer is thinking of Sam! Hope to see you back in Chicago safe soon. Best, Marissa, The Medical Student...
Good morning everyone,
I'm so happy to hear all is going good! Sounds like you are getting settled in Miami. Well I'm sure you know the Bears won last night, Cubs are having a party tomorrow downtown(i think), now the Sox are playing the Tigers today, if they win they play a playoff game tomorrow against the Twins! If they lose today they are done.
If there is anything you guys need in FL or the rest of the family in IL, please let us know.
Alway in our thoughts and prayers!!
Dear Chris and Dolly,
Sorry to say that Alex, Carisa and Tony have been partying really hard at the house.
When I pulled up last night a Budweiser delivery truck was pulling out of the driveway.
I had no idea Alex and Carisa knew so many cute guys, and wow...Tony sure knows a lot of 10 year old girls!
No worries: they said they were hiring the Merry Maids from the money you left them for groceries.
Aunt Mary
