I know I know, where have I been?

Hey everybody.. here I am!  Have just been hanging out lately trying to enjoy myself, the last round of chemo wasn't as bad as the others so it was nice.  I also finally didn't go into the hopsital between chemos for being neutrapenic and having a fever...yee haw!  So the latest news is we're finally gonna go for the surgery.  That is the only way to try and cure whats going on is to surgically remove everything.  So my tumors in my pancreas have shrunk enough to where they are only in the head of the pancreas..which is a good thing.  They're going to do the 'whipple procedure'  which is just about as exciting as it sounds.  It's a major operation, but go big or go home right?  This is going to happen asap, whenever my counts are as high as they'll be.  I'll need to be as healthy as possible to be able to recover from the operation.  They'll cut out the head of my pancreas and lots of other fun things in my belly and then pretty much reroute everything.  It should be around an 8 hour operation.  I'm guessing this will happen around Wednesday or so.. I'll get my labs drawn on Monday and then know from there whether they're high enough or not to move forward.  I usually have issues with my platelettes (help clot your blood) and we have to be sure those are high enough to go into surgery with all the bleeding and such.  I got a couple transfusions on Thursday so those should help my counts get back up there.  I'll put up here when I know for sure when the surgery is.  The recovery is a couple days in the ICU, then a couple weeks in the hospital and then the couple weeks at home after that is still recovery. So its quite a long one, but as Tommy Pickles says (you'll understand if your kids/you watch Rugrats) a baby's gotta do what a babys gotta do!  To lighten the mood b/c this was a boring entry.. and due to popular demand.. I've decided to humiliate myself and post a video I made for some of my buddy nurses a couple weeks ago while I was home.  Now you have to understand .. its just a joke.  I know a lot of people read this who don't know me super well (which is all fine and good) but just remember, im not REALLY this weird, it was just for fun.  But enjoy anyways.  lots of love
